Shiquanhe City, also known as Ali City, is a county-level city in the Ngari Prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region in China. It is located in the western part of Tibet, near the border with India and Nepal. The city is situated at an elevation of 4,270 meters (14,009 feet) and is one of the highest cities in the world. Shiquanhe City serves as the administrative, cultural, and transportation center of the Ngari Prefecture. The city has a population of around 20,000 and is characterized by its scenic landscapes, including snow-capped mountains, vast grasslands, and crystal-clear lakes. It is also a popular destination for tourists, especially those interested in Tibetan culture and Mount Kailash, a sacred peak considered holy in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.
