Saint Marys City is a village located in St. Mary's County, Maryland, United States. It was the first colonial settlement in Maryland and served as the capital of Maryland from 1634 until 1695. Today, Saint Marys City is a living history museum and archaeological site, with reconstructed colonial buildings and exhibits showcasing colonial life in the 17th century. The village is also home to St. Mary's College of Maryland, a public liberal arts college.
