Penrhyn Island is a coral atoll located in the Cook Islands in the South Pacific Ocean. It is the most remote island in the Cook Islands, situated approximately 1,136 miles (1,828 kilometers) northeast of the main island of Rarotonga. Penrhyn Island does not have a city or any urban development. It is a sparsely populated atoll, with a small population of around 300 people who primarily rely on fishing and subsistence farming for their livelihood.
