Novo Progresso city is located in the state of Pará, Brazil. It is a municipality in the western part of the state, near the border with the state of Mato Grosso. The city has a population of approximately 40,000 people and is known for its agricultural activities, particularly cattle ranching and soybean farming. Novo Progresso city is also home to the Jamanxim National Park, a protected area of the Amazon rainforest.
