Muskrat Dam is a First Nations community located in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. It is part of the Independent First Nations Alliance and is accessible by air and by winter road. The community is primarily made up of members of the Muskrat Dam Lake First Nation, who are Oji-Cree people. Muskrat Dam City, also known as Muskrat Dam Indian Settlement, is situated on the shores of Muskrat Dam Lake and is surrounded by pristine wilderness. The community is small and has a population of around 300 people. Muskrat Dam is known for its strong cultural traditions, including hunting, fishing, and traditional crafts.
