Georgetown is a city located in the county seat of Williamson County, Texas, United States. It is situated approximately 26 miles north of downtown Austin and is considered a part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area. Georgetown was established in 1848 and has a population of around 79,604 as of 2020. The city is known for its historic downtown area, beautiful Victorian architecture, and the prestigious Southwestern University.
