Fort Bridger is a census-designated place (CDP) in Uinta County, Wyoming, United States. It is located on the western edge of the state, near the Wyoming-Utah border. The town was originally established as a trapper's outpost in the early 19th century and later became an important stop along the Oregon Trail and other western migration routes. Today, Fort Bridger is known for its historical significance and is home to the Fort Bridger State Historic Site, which preserves the original fort buildings and offers interpretive exhibits and events.
