Battle Creek is a city located in Calhoun County, Michigan, United States. It is the principal city of the Battle Creek Metropolitan Statistical Area, which encompasses all of Calhoun County. The city is known for being the headquarters of the Kellogg Company and for being the birthplace of the Battle Creek Sanitarium, a wellness retreat founded by John Harvey Kellogg. Battle Creek is also home to several other major companies, including Post Cereals and Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. The city has a population of approximately 52,347 (as of 2019) and covers an area of 43.73 square miles.
