Willow Grove NAS (Naval Air Station) is a former military air base located in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was originally established in 1926 as Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS JRB) Willow Grove, serving as a training and reserve base for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
However, Willow Grove NAS was closed as an active military installation in 2011 under the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process. The majority of the base has been transferred to other entities, including the Pennsylvania Air National Guard and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
It is no longer an active airport and does not offer commercial passenger flights. The nearby Philadelphia International Airport is the primary commercial airport serving the area.
