- Nicosia International Airport is an airport located in the capital city of Nicosia in Cyprus. However, it is currently a disused airport as it has been closed since 1974 due to the division of the island. After the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, the airport was situated in the UN Buffer Zone and is now located in the territory controlled by Northern Cyprus. The airport was originally called Tymvou Internation Airport but was renamed Nicosia International Airport, although it is often referred to as Ercan Airport, after the nearby Ercan village.
