- Mosul airport, also known as Mohammed Ali International Airport, is an airport located in northern Iraq near the city of Mosul. It was first constructed in 1928 and served as a hub for both domestic and international flights. However, due to the conflicts and the occupation of ISIS, the airport was heavily damaged and remained non-operational for several years.
- After the liberation of Mosul from ISIS in 2017, efforts were made to rebuild and restore the airport. Reconstruction began in 2019 with assistance from international organizations, and the airport was officially reopened in July 2021.
- Today, Mosul airport serves as an important transportation hub for the region, providing both domestic and international flights. It facilitates travel for both civilians and military personnel and plays a significant role in the ongoing rebuilding and development of Mosul and its surrounding areas.
