- Gimli Airport, officially known as Gimli Industrial Park Airport, is a public airport located in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada. It is approximately 70 kilometers north of Winnipeg. The airport is primarily used for general aviation and provides services for local residents, tourists, and businesses in the area. It has a single asphalt runway and offers refueling services, hangar rentals, and aircraft maintenance facilities. The airport gained international attention in 1983 when it was used as an emergency landing site for a diverted Boeing 767 aircraft during a fuel depletion incident, now known as the Gimli Glider.
